Q&A with Orli Segal

How did you get into pediatrics?
I’ve always enjoyed working with kiddos, and think they are the greatest teachers – we have so much to learn from them. Health, in all forms, is at the core of everything we do, especially from a young age. Also, growing up, I had a lovely relationship with my pediatrician (…I definitely overstayed the typical age limit at the practice); I’d feel lucky if I become at least half the provider she is.

Where did you grow up?
In New Jersey, about 15 minutes outside of the city.

Where do you live?
Brooklyn.

What do you enjoy most about working in your neighborhood office?
It’s a privilege to be able to give back to the community and to grow with families.

What keeps you motivated?
A sense of levity and curiosity – both of which children embody an abundance of.

What do you do for fun?
I love being outside – cycling, hiking, and playing sports. I also enjoy traveling and going on adventures. In addition, I cherish spending time with friends and family.
