The Fifteen Month Visit
At this visit we will:
- Take your child’s height, weight, and head circumference
- Administer the Pneumococcal, DtaP, and Hib vaccines. Read about benefits and potential side effects of these vaccines.
GUIDANCE
Development: Your baby will be able to stand alone, take a few steps, and maybe even wave bye-bye. They will also say a few words, including “dada” and “mama” and will begin to indicate their wants by pointing.
Eating: Hopefully by now, your child has abandoned the habit of throwing food on the floor or mushing it on the table. As a matter of fact, if you have followed our advice, they are very careful not to waste food, since they know the consequences. If you have not handled your baby’s mini-rebellions against your culinary skills, you’re in for some trouble, because now they know something better will come if the unwanted veggies are spit out.
