THE SIX MONTH VISIT
The Six Month Visit
At the six month visit we will:
- Check your baby’s height, weight and head circumference
- Administer the third round of Vaxelis (combination of DTaP, HIB, Polio, & Hep B), RotaTeq (oral), and the final round of Pneumococcal.
GUIDANCE
Development: By now, your little one can support their weight on their legs when held standing up and push up with their tiny arms when placed on their belly. They can also look around the room, roll over, and turn toward a rattling sound. Your baby will also hold their heady steady and reach for objects when sitting with minimal support.
Introduction to solid foods: This is a very exciting moment, but one that many parents are apprehensive about. Fear not! Introducing your child to a wide variety of foods from the start will give them a preference for tasty, healthy meals, and will also ensure that they become a hearty eater in the months and years to come.
